This September will see West Australian Ballet transform His Majesty’s Theatre into fair Verona for Youri Vámos’ Romeo and Juliet and the addictive world of rock giants Radiohead for Edward Clug’s Radio & Juliet.

What if Juliet chose to live? Set entirely to the music of rock giants Radiohead, Radio & Juliet is a fast-paced, hard-hitting contemporary take on Shakespeare’s classic.

A contrasting face on the same coin, Romeo and Juliet is a remastering of Shakespeare’s most loved tragedy set to Sergei Prokofiev’s celebrated score.

This acclaimed international production from Youri Vámos is set in the 1930s and features evocative set and costumes from the period. ‘Only those who move the heart will change the world – this is the goal I am trying to achieve’ says Vámos.
