Nedlands Yacht Club Marquee Wedding
Andrew + Rebecca were recently married at on the banks of the Nedlands Yacht Club on Saturday the 11th of February 2017. Andrew and Rebecca became engaged in Tanzania last year after conquering Mt Kilimanjaro. The Sunrise and Channel 7 WA news reporter married engineer Andrew Nicholls, in front of just over one hundred of their closest friends and family at Holy Rosary Church in Nedlands. Guests watched as Rebecca walked down the aisle to her grandmother’s 1950’s ABC recording of ‘Ava Maria.’ Rebecca’s dress was custom made by couture house Pallas Couture and took 6 months to complete.
Guests were transported from the charming church by vintage buses, to the reception which was held in a grand transparent marquee along the Swan River at Nedlands Yacht Club. The theme of the evening was based around organic stones and agate. Guests sipped on cocktails and lounged as they grazed on the cheese bar and canapes before being escorted to dinner. Some of Australia’s music royalty danced the night away alongside distinguished guests as well as Olympians, journalists, PR people and AFL payers. Rebecca’s aunty, lead singer of The Baby Animals, Suze DeMarchi, flew in for the occasion. Rebecca also had Andrew’s sister; Olympian Alana Nicholls, as one of her five bridesmaids. They danced the night away while dining on a SUKAR marble etched wedding cake and an assortment of Krispy Kreme donuts (bride and groom’s fav!)
Congratulations, Rebecca + Andrew. We’re so glad we were able to cater your special day.
