Married at Meneghello Estate in Carbanup
Jodie & Gavin were married on the 28th of February 2015 at the beautiful Meneghello Estate in Carbanup. A stunning hidden spot in WA’s South West. Jodie met Gavin whilst she was living with one of Gavin’s good friends. They hit it off as good friends before dating. Years later after dinner and a show Gavin finally popped the question to Jodie and of course Jodie said… yes!
Jodie took inspiration from the beach and ocean for the theme and styling of the day, with some help from her wedding stylist ‘Cape of Love’ and Hire Society. They created a stunning celebration guests would never forget! Set under the stars on the beautiful grounds of Meneghello Estate, with fairy lights hung over the dance floor, setting a beautiful ambiance for the festivities. The entire evening was full of laughter and dancing and Jodie was absolutely glowing in her wedding dress made by Jonathen James from Bridal Affair in Mount Hawthorn.
The couple chose to have a cocktail style wedding for a more relaxed feel. In order to achieve this Ultimo served a series of canapes including our Blueberry and juniper lamb with anise polenta and almond cream, the Pancetta bound chicken and mushroom ballontine served with cranberry jam, the crowd pleasing Pork, fennel and dehydrated apple sausage roll, Ultimo’s Pine nut, pumpkin & fig arancini with vincotto Mayonnaise. Followed by the decadent Mushroom tortellini burnt sage butter sauce and Veal schnitzel sliders and our 3 bite beef shiraz pie.
Later on to ensure guests weren’t still hungry Jodie and Gavin picked 3 of the favourite signature bowls including the Lamb shank medallion served on baked gruyere potato swirl and pedro jus, our Vietnamese chicken served with coconut rice, coriander and a lime dressing and the Beetroot, mascarpone risotto cake with a saffron emulsion. For dessert the couple decided to have a cup-cake and dessert bar put together by Celebration Cupcakes!
The rest of the evening was a celebration to remember. The pair’s dearest friends and family gave heartfelt toasts and guests danced alongside the couple to their wedding song “Waiting on an Angel” by Ben Harper and enjoyed our late night Wood-fired pizzas.
