Matilda Bay Wedding

Aaron + Sam were recently married at on the banks of the Matilda Bay foreshore on Saturday the 30th of March 2016. Ultimo had the pleasure of working with the couple on their dream day by arranging everything from the Matilda Bay site and Marquee set up by all the way to the catering, staff and floor plan.

THE STYLING

Set in a beautiful clear riverside marquee, the couples wedding was a grand celebration, surrounded by their closest family and friends. Our talented Wedding specialist, Nicola Badham, worked with Samin and Aaron and to pull together all the details of the night. We worked with some of Perth’s most talented suppliers such as the team at OMG Events by tony salmon, Eighty eight event lighting, Breidahl Blooms, Owl and Bear and Hire Society!

The entire evening was full of glamour and elegance. Fairy lights hung over the dance floor, setting a beautiful ambiance for the festivities, candles lined the edge of the Matilda Bay wedding marquee and down the middle of each table, setting a soft, cosy & romantic vibe whilst the hanging florals by Breidahl blooms dressed the ceiling.

THE CUISINE

Both Aaron and Samin are avid foodies, so there menu was an integral part of their big day! To ensure they got exactly what they were after we tailored their menu according to their personal favorites creating a unique entree of Seared king prawns, goats cheese tortellini, pine nuts and raisins served with a burnt butter sauce.

Cocktail Hour

Clementine duck, shaved celery,  pancake

Char sue pork, kaffir lime, pastry moon

Italian tart, smoked pepper, goats cheese, olive, free range eggs

Scallop, prawn, ginger wonton, ponzo

Entree 

Seared king prawns with goats cheese tortellini, burnt butter, pine nuts and raisins

Roasted Swiss brown mushroom risotto with salsa Verdi and crisp sage

Mains

Crispy skin pink snapper, sweet potato, pumpkin and turnip rosti, lemon zest broccolini, beurre blanc

Formed braised lamb shoulder, cauliflower two ways, potato barrel, roasted baby carrot, red wine jus, micro herb

THE PARTY

For the wedding cake, the couple had a delicious white chocolate mud cake made by Bites by D and to follow an entire dessert table for guests to enjoy! The rest of the evening was a celebration to remember. After the two’s dearest friends and family gave heartfelt toasts and danced along side the couple into all hours of the night.
