Q. I am having the wake at home. How do I make sure the food is ready by the time the guests arrive?
We recommend you leave a key with a trusted neighbour or arrange to hide a key so our staff can start the set-up an hour prior to the anticipated arrival of your guests. We choose our most responsible staff for our wakes functions and Police clearances are available upon request.
Q. How long should I allow between the service and the wake?
This will depend on the distance between locations. We suggest you allow at least 30 min for guests to arrive after the service has ended.
Q. How do I know what type of menu to choose?
This will depend on the time of your wake. Ultimo have developed 3 menus with a selection of foods suitable for a wide range of tastes and appetites.
Q. How long should I allow for my wake?
In our experience, most wakes last about 2-3 hours. If you require staff to set-up and clean-up, please allow and additional 1 hour for set-up and 1 hour for clean-up.
Q. Can you help me find a venue suitable for a wake?
Yes, we can assist you to find the most conveniently located venue to take the pressure off having a wake at your home. If you can’t find a suitable venue on our website, we will be delighted to locate one that suits your needs.
