There are events, and then there are moments…
Equestrian In The Park 2025 was a moment, bigger, bolder, more beautiful than ever, and it unfolded right in the heart of Perth on the sprawling greens of Langley Park. With the city skyline glittering behind the arena and the Swan River winding alongside it, this year’s event felt cinematic. Like Perth had stepped into its own spotlight and decided to show off a little.
From the thrum of hooves on turf to the clink of champagne glasses, from families sprawled on picnic rugs to VVIPs lounging metres from the rails, EITP 2025 delivered the rare blend of community, luxury, adrenaline and warmth that makes this event one of Western Australia’s most anticipated days of the year.
The new venue opened everything up: more room for marquees, more viewing angles, more atmosphere. Everywhere you looked, people were smiling, chatting, wandering between spaces, snapping photos, gasping at jump combinations, cheering for their favourites, and of course, indulging in truly unforgettable food curated and served by Ultimo.
Yes, the horses were magnificent. Yes, the competition was fierce.
But Perth also showed up for the hospitality, and we poured our heart (and our signature garlic butter) into every moment.
THE ELECTRIC BEAT OF THE DAY
BOYD MARTIN TAKES THE ARENA
There are some experiences that make a whole crowd go still. Boyd Martin riding at Langley Park was one of them. Watching an Olympic-level equestrian glide over a technical WA-designed course with absolute precision, balance and control was the kind of sporting moment people will be talking about for years.
The atmosphere shifted, it became reverent, hopeful, excited, proud. You could feel the crowd leaning in. EITP 2025 wasn’t just an event. It was witnessing excellence up close.
That moment alone stamped the 2025 event into history.
But the day was brimming with standout moments long before and long after Boyd’s run.
THE INNER CIRCLE
Premium viewing. Premium hospitality. Premium Perth sunshine.
The Inner Circle continued its legacy as one of the most sought-after spots on course, where guests enjoyed the perfect marriage of comfort, luxury and front-row access to the sport.
From the moment the first guests stepped in, the tone was set: fresh Nespresso coffee, herbal teas, melting moments and florentines laid out like a gentle welcome hug. It felt warm, calm, intentional, a quiet ease before the crowd settled in for a day of big jumps and even bigger excitement.
MIDDAY ARRIVAL DELIGHTS
At 12pm, the pace quickened. Guests were treated to:
- Freshly shucked oysters
- Crisp, generous chicken Caesar bowls
- Petite Cuban sandwiches stacked with roasted pork, ham, pickles & melted cheese
It was the perfect mix of “light lunch” and “I need another one of those immediately.”
THE LIVE-GRILL MOMENT: 1PM
Nothing draws a crowd like the smell of garlic butter hitting a hot grill.
And nothing says “Premium WA event” quite like:
- Half WA crayfish, grilled to order (plain or drenched in butter)
- Chargrilled Peruvian chicken with lime, coriander, green chilli & garlic rice
The BBQ station was an experience — sizzling, smoky, aromatic, lively. Guests gathered like it was theatre.
THE SALAD TABLE — FRESH, BRIGHT, BEAUTIFUL
A full spread of vibrant salads brought colour and freshness to the marquee:
- French potato salad with herbs
- Tofu teriyaki noodle salad
- Mixed leaves + avocado + tomato
- Roasted cauliflower with feta, almonds & raisins
Guests filled their plates freely, many coming back for “just a little more of that potato salad” (we saw you).
AFTERNOON SNACK — 3PM
When spirits were high and appetites renewed, Ultimo served spiced lamb pita from a giant paella pan — warm, aromatic, comforting. A vegan alternative was available, because luxury should always be accessible.
THE SWEET ENDING — GELATO CART
Three flavours. Endless joy.
The perfect reset between competition rounds.
THE PLATINUM LOUNGE / CORPORATE & SPONSORS
Where business meets celebration, and everyone gets well fed.
The Platinum Lounge is always a hub for industry leaders, sponsors, and corporate guests who want a space that feels polished and premium without losing the joy of the day.
This year, styled to absolute perfection by event partners and filled with a lively, social energy, it delivered a top-tier experience.
ON ARRIVAL — OYSTERS AGAIN, OBVIOUSLY
Premium events require premium welcomes.
Oysters set the tone: fresh, cold, perfectly shucked.
CULINARY EXPERIENCES FROM 1PM—3:30PM
Ultimo created roaming bowls designed for easy grazing, socialising and celebrating. The menu included:
- Creamy parmesan wheel gnocchi
- Spiced lamb pita with mint & cucumber
- Vegan hummus & tabbouleh bowls
- Peruvian chicken with mojo sauce & garlic rice
- 12-hour beef cheek with Paris mash & fig jus
Warm, rich, comforting.
But also bright, vibrant and balanced.
The Platinum Lounge felt like its own private world, the kind of place where guests sip Champagne, watch the action, meet new people and stay much longer than intended.
The gelato cart returned here too, ensuring the whole day ended on a sweet note.
THE RIDERS LOUNGE
Laid-back, close to the action, effortlessly cool.
The Riders Lounge struck the perfect balance: great views, great drinks, an easygoing atmosphere, and just enough shade to settle in all day. It became the go-to spot for guests who wanted to be close to the competition without sacrificing comfort or social connection.
People drifted in and out throughout the day, enjoying a casual drink, a grazing box, or simply the thrill of seeing world-class riders just metres away.
THE FAMILY ZONE
Laughs, sunshine, big smiles, and more picnic rugs than we could count.
Families brought the heart to EITP 2025. Kids ran between activities with painted faces and armfuls of showbags. Parents relaxed in the shade with cold drinks. And everywhere you looked, there were proud little equestrians pointing out their favourite horses.
Ultimo’s pre-order hampers were perfect here:
- Antipasto Box (the picnic classic)
- Cheese & Crackers Box (a crowd favourite)
- Sweet Box (brownies, donuts, macarons — the works)
They were loved by families, couples, groups of friends, anyone wanting a relaxed, easy, delicious option.
The Family Zone added warmth, inclusivity, and life to the event.
It reminded everyone what the day is really about: community.
FASHIONS ON THE FIELD
Elegance on full display, proudly sponsored by Soklich & Co.
The fashion this year was bold, polished, expressive and fiercely competitive. Guests embraced colour, structure, millinery and personality, delivering a fashion moment every bit as exciting as the riding.
Judges had their work cut out for them as finalists stepped forward in looks that blended creativity with elegance. The crowd loved it. The atmosphere was electric.
