Quarry Amphitheatre, cocktail style wedding catering

Autumn is at its fullest, which means were drawn to lively celebrations with classic white & soft pink complemented by the venues rustic stone walls. Shannon and Jamie’s wedding featured gorgeous soft pinks lighting that brightened up The Quarry Amphitheatre. The happy couple asked Ultimo to cater their wedding; the couple were after a relaxed and romantic atmosphere only to later transform into lively party for family and friends to dance, eat and laugh the night away. They decided the best way to achieve this was to have a cocktail style wedding, our wedding specialist, Kaila Welsford, helped the pair plan the details of the event to make sure everything ran smoothly.

THE CEREMONY

The ceremony was also held at The Quarry meaning guests didn’t have to move from one place to another throughout the day and were simply able to relax. After the ceremony had finished the newly-weds and their bridal party headed out to take their wedding photos and guests headed upstairs for a quiet cocktail hour that consisted of champagne and a trio of dips with toasted Turkish bread.

THE CUISINE

The main event kicked off with Ultimo’s delicious canapés, including an assortment of sushi, fresh and tasty rice paper rolls, chilli and garlic prawn skewers, warm chicken and sweet pea mini pies, Verjuice and lemon herb arancini, toasty baked samosas, pork and apple sausage rolls and our famous herb and parmesan crusted lamb cutlets. Ultimo also provided a bar with champagne flutes to toast, along with a selection of beers, wine, cider and soda. View our wedding catering menus.

The reception took place under the whimsical, clear marquee set up on The Quarry’s stage area. The soaring limestone walls were lit up with Shannon’s wedding colors, which is just one feature that makes the venue so special. A little bit later, we served our delicious battered snapper and sea salt chips followed by our seafood paella station where guests were able to watch Ultimo chefs make our traditional paella.

Shannon and Jamie danced the rest of the night away with their family and friends, the perfect ending to a great day. Congratulations to the happy couple!
