Food Styling Trend..

The all white dessert bar; Inspired by the ethereal lightness and beautiful new way of interpreting a completely ‘white wedding’, one rich in layers and texture, suffused with lightness, unexpected details and complexity…We absolutely loved combining these two stylish trends of the moment.

Just imagine a table, spread with delicate desserts in a purely pale palette, yet deliciously suffused with the most decadent of flavours…(think mascarpone, coconut, lemon, white chocolate or vanilla bean with a hint of pistachio). Tiny cakes piled high with buttercream icing, individual coconut or coffee pannacotta, miniature white chocolate mousse pots or vanilla bean cheesecakes, bowls of coconut truffles and snowy biscuits dusted in icing sugar, pillows of sweet marshmallows, mountains of macaroons and cubes of delicate nougat.

The flavor and styling possibilities are endless, imagine a table rich in layers, height, texture and flavours. We suggest you begin with a textured white linen cloth or white timber table then utilise all white platters and cake stands, in ceramic or milk glass. For heirloom elegance introduce touches of antique silver (cake stands and spoons) or tin details for a rustic setting, incorporate white lace and white florals to add a pretty softness to the table.  You may also consider this as an incredible setting amongst which to place your wedding cake, or for non traditionalists, a selection of many different white cakes (rather than one big ‘wedding cake’) – we love the airiness of an Angel Cake or the decadence of a white chocolate cheesecake!

Always work with a professional to achieve this magnificent look, and a table filled with unexpected, memorable flavours. At recent weddings we dedicated one end of the table to a dessert-wine tasting, complete with crystal glassware, it was a fabulous additional element enjoyed by the true wine and dessert lovers.
